What Happens If a Screening Is Interrupted?
Dropped connections, shared links, and why neither loses a student's progress.
Screenings happen on school internet, on shared devices, and sometimes on a student's own phone. MARS is built so that none of that costs a student their progress.
✅ A dropped connection does not lose progress
Every action a student takes during a screening is logged in real time. If the connection drops, their progress is saved automatically — they sign back in and continue from where they stopped, rather than starting the screening over.
🔗 A shared link does not break
Screening links stay valid even if they are passed between people. If a student shares their link partway through a screening, whoever opens it is not shown an error and does not land in someone else's session. They are taken to the login page, where they sign in with their own credentials and begin their own screening.
