How MARS Connects to Your Systems

CRM, EHR, your own systems, reporting and the provider directory, in one integration layer.

MARS is built to sit inside the tools an organization already uses, not next to them. A dedicated integration layer moves the right data to the right system, in the right direction, and nothing more.

🔌 What MARS connects to

  • CRM — two-way sync. Organizations, screening links and the provider directory are managed in your CRM and appear in MARS within seconds. MARS reports back dashboard links and screening activity. Salesforce is supported today.
  • EHR / practice management — when a student is referred to care, MARS can create the patient record in the EHR and file the screening reports in the chart, so clinicians start with full context.
  • Your own systems — a token-secured API lets your portal, app or website request a screening link for a respondent.
  • Reporting and BI — filtered datasets export to CSV or Excel for state reporting, program evaluation or your own data warehouse.
  • Provider directory — therapists and community resources flow in from your records and power the "Find Help" directory that families and staff use.

⚙️ How the integration layer works

  • Event-driven. A change in one system triggers a background job in MARS right away. No nightly batches, no manual exports.
  • Validated. Every outgoing record is checked against the receiving system's rules before it is sent. If the other system changes its fields, MARS detects it and alerts the team instead of sending bad data.
  • Resilient. Expired sessions are renewed automatically, failed steps are logged and retried, and one failed file never blocks the rest.
  • Monitored. Every integration error is tracked in real time and reaches the engineering team the moment it happens.
  • Minimal by design. Each connection carries only what the receiving system needs. The CRM sync, for example, carries counts and links, never student-level screening answers.
💡

Every new integration follows the same pattern: map the fields, agree what moves in which direction, test in a staging environment with generated data, then switch on. Real data is never used in development or testing.
